Jenny Sue Knighton

Jenny Sue Knighton, 61, was a caring and generous aunt, sister, daughter, and friend. Jenny passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Jenny devoted her life to the care of others, helping to raise more than a dozen children spanning three generations. She took great pleasure in reading to children, with a special fondness for Winnie the Pooh stories. Jenny is survived by her sister, Bonnie Hassan; her brother-in-law, Ahmed Hassan; and her nieces, Fayten, Mayah, and Noor El-Dehaibi and Faridah Hassan. She is also survived by her sisters, including Mary Knighton and Jacqueline Knighton; niece, Erin Street and her family; nephew, Travis Wyatt and his family; and nephew, Taggart Wyatt and his wife.

Private burial in Penn Forest Natural Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Animal Friends (www.thinkingoutsidethecage.org) an organization about which Jenny felt strongly.
