Lawrence W. Deuel, 81, passed away at Cross Keys Village, The Brethren Home, New Oxford, PA. He was born January 1, 1945, in Saratoga Springs, New York. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dinah Deuel; a sister Emily Harrigan and husband, Timothy, of Rochester, New York; a brother, Edward Deuel, of Bloomfield, New York; two stepsons, Fredrick Bledsoe and Phillip Bledsoe; step grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Larry was the son of Douglas C. Deuel and Gladys W. Deuel of York, New York. In addition to his parents Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Deuel.
He was a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Forestry. Larry served in the United States Army Reserves. He retired from the City of York, PA, in 2005, where he worked in the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Larry enjoyed traveling in his camper, hiking, canoeing, and was an avid gardener and bee keeper. Private burial will be at Penn Forest Natural Burial Park, Verona, PA. Arrangements by Natural Funeral Company. Memories and condolences may be left at www.naturalfuneralcompany.com.
