Burying Mom was sad, but in the midst of sorrow, there was beauty, because Kristin did such a lovely job of caring for her and for us. Mom had seen Penn Forest Cemetery just before it opened and would have buried Dad there, but he died too soon. The whole concept of a green burial is such a fresh relief from the routine funeral system. It felt cleansing and natural to bury Mom in this simple way. She finished well, and the final details were a prayer of hope. We know Mom has gone home to Jesus and her body goes back to the earth.
